- Throughout your course discussions can be used to allow both tutors and students to contribute to discussion topics. To access the Discussions page, click on the “Discussions” tab on the top left-hand menu.
- The discussions listed with a green notepad and pencil icon are discussions that form part of an assignment.
- On the right side of each discussion, it will also show the number of “unread” and “read” replies on that discussion. By clicking on the assignment that you would like to contribute to, you will be met with the task or discussion topic.
- Scrolling down will reveal all the previous entries to the discussion from your colleagues, which you can either reply to or like their comment.
- To write your own reply, you will click the “Write a reply”, compose your response and then click the “post reply” button at the bottom of your message.
- Once you have posted a reply to a discussion, this will automatically subscribe you to that discussion. This means that you will be notified each time the discussion has a new post.
- To turn unsubscribe from a thread, this can be turned off by clicking the “subscribed” button
