Which status does each teacher training route provide?
Best Practice Network offers initial teacher training in:
- Early years, covering ages 0 to 5.
- General Primary, covering ages 5 to 11.
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), covering ages 3 to 7 and ages 5 to 11.
- Secondary education in selected subjects, covering ages 11 to 16.
All routes lead to teacher status. The early years route leads to Early Years Teacher Status, while the General Primary, SEND and Secondary routes lead to Qualified Teacher Status.
Do Best Practice Network teacher training programmes include a PGCE?
Best Practice Network teacher training programmes do not currently include a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
