To check your grades and course progress in Canvas, select "Grade" from the left menu. Clear the "Calculate based only on graded assignments" checkbox to view overall progress. Review the "Score" and "Out of" columns for completed assignments, look for blue dots indicating new grades, and use the "Arrange by" filter to organize assignments. To find your grades and check your overall course progress in Canvas, select Grade from the left-hand menu. The Grades page shows completed and incomplete assignments, scores and recently graded work.
How to check your grades and progress
- Select Grade from the left-hand menu.
- Clear the Calculate based only on graded assignments checkbox to see your actual overall progress.
- Review the Score and Out of columns. For completed assignments, these values will match or you will see a tick. A dash indicates that an assignment still needs to be completed.
- Look for a blue dot beside an assignment. This means that the assignment has been graded since you last visited the Grades page.
- Use the Arrange by filter to make it easier to identify what you need to do.
