You can change your Canvas email and mobile notification settings by logging into Canvas, selecting Account Notifications, and adjusting the frequency for each notification type by clicking the bell icon. A green bell means notifications are on, while a grey bell means they are off. It is recommended to enable announcement notifications to stay updated. A video guide is also available.
You can change your Canvas email and mobile notification settings from the Notifications area of your account. You can choose how often you receive each type of notification.
How to change your Canvas notification settings
- Log in to Canvas and select Account from the left-hand menu.
- Select Notifications to see all your notification options.
- Scroll through the list to review your current settings.
- Select the bell for an item to change how often you receive that notification.
A green bell means that the notification is on and you will receive an email. A grey bell with a line through it means that the notification is off.
It is recommended that you turn on announcement notifications so that you do not miss important course updates.
