The EYSEN ePortfolio, accessed via the Participant Dashboard, allows assignment submission, progress tracking, feedback viewing, resubmission, and assessor contact. Assignments use online templates, requiring full completion before submission. Feedback and resubmission guidance are provided within the platform. Certificates are issued by NCFE upon completion and accessible via the ePortfolio. Support is available via email, and a guidance video is provided on YouTube.
You use the EYSEN ePortfolio through your Participant Dashboard to submit assignments, track assessment criteria, view feedback, resubmit work and contact your assessor. Assessment is carried out through the ePortfolio page.
How to access the EYSEN ePortfolio
- Log in to your Participant Dashboard.
- Select ePortfolio from either the horizontal menu at the top of the screen or the pink box beneath the ePortfolio heading.
How to track your assessment progress
The Overview tab lists the assessment criteria and shows the status of each one. Statuses include Awaiting Contribution, Awaiting Marking, Marked, incomplete and Complete.
You can filter the assessment criteria by status. You can also track your overall progress using the Progress wheel on the right-hand side of the screen.
How to submit an assignment
Assignments are completed and submitted using online templates. Select Upload Contribution to open the Upload Contribution Wizard, then follow these steps.
- Under Contribution, select I'm uploading Academic Writing.
- Open the drop-down menu beneath Select Assignment and choose the assignment you want to submit. The relevant assessment criteria will be assigned automatically.
- Select Save and Next.
- Read the instructions on the online template carefully and type your responses into the boxes provided.
- To make a response box bigger, select and hold the two diagonal lines in its bottom-right corner, then drag downwards.
- When your assignment is complete, tick the declaration box at the bottom of the page.
- Select Submit for Review, followed by Yes, Submit.
Partially completed submissions cannot be accepted for marking. The system will not allow you to select Submit for Review until you have completed every response box and ticked the declaration.
How to save an assignment as a draft
If you want to save your progress and complete the assignment later, scroll to the bottom of the online template and select Save Draft.
Your draft will be saved in the Academic Writing tab. Select Continue submission to return to the online template.

- Scroll down to the relevant assessment criteria.
- Select the blue Review button to expand each criterion and view the assessor's feedback.
How to resubmit an assignment
If any assessment criteria are marked as Partially Met or Not Met, you will be asked to resubmit the assignment. Your assessor's feedback will explain what you need to add to meet the criteria fully.
- Select Upload Contribution.
- At Step 1, choose the assignment you need to resubmit from the drop-down menu.
- Select Save and Next. Your previous attempt will open in the online template.
- Use your assessor's feedback to identify the criteria you need to resubmit.

- Tick the declaration box and select Submit for Review, followed by Yes, Submit.
To view your resubmission, open the PDF file from the Academic Writing tab. The content you added will be highlighted in yellow in the assignment PDF.
