How to set up and use MFA for CCMS
- Click on your profile icon in the top left hand corner
- Then select "Manage MFA"
- You will then be able to choose between two different types of MFA: One-Time Password (OTP) and the Authenticator app
1) One-Time Password (OTP)
If you select OTP, a code will be sent to your email each time you log in
You’ll receive a one-time password (OTP) which you’ll need to enter into CCMS.
Once your One-Time Password MFA is set up, you’ll be prompted to enter the code sent to your email when logging into CCM.
2) Authenticator App
If you select the Authenticator App option, you’ll be prompted to add CCMS to your app by scanning the on-screen QR code:
After scanning the QR code with your Authenticator app, enter the verification code from the app into CCMS and select 'Verify'.
If you don’t already have an authenticator app, you can download one from your app store - such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator
Changing MFA Method
You can change your MFA method for CCMS at any time by selecting one of the available options.
Subsequent logins
For future logins, you’ll need to enter a verification code using your chosen method - either an OTP sent to your email or a code from your authenticator app.
Future developments
We will be adding an tick box that allows you to indicate that you are logging in from a trusted computer. This will then authenticate you for that computer for 30 days, rather than requiring you to authenticate at every log in. This will be implemented once staff have had time to become familiar with authenticating.
