What support is available for childminders?
As a childminder undertaking EYITT, you will receive:
- Support before your interview through a telephone or Microsoft Teams call, including help with questions about programme funding.
- A call after you join the programme to plan your journey from start to finish, including your individual placement requirements.
- Help finding a suitable mentor if required. Your mentor can help develop your teaching practice and knowledge across different age groups.
- Monthly training, support and networking meetings with other childminders at an appropriate time of day.
- Support with aspects of the programme, including your Leadership Action Plan and working in partnership with colleagues and other professionals.
- A weekly check-in in your chosen format, such as text, email or telephone call.
- A communication log to record conversations between you and your placement, supporting planning and leadership evidence.
