To complete a self-study session in Canvas, select the grey box at the bottom of the screen, then click Start course in the new window. Scroll through each section, using the Continue button to advance, and track progress with the left-side tracker. Scroll to the bottom of the final page to complete it, then close the window to save progress. Video instructions are available via a provided YouTube link.
Open a self-study session in Canvas by selecting the grey box at the bottom of the screen, then select Start course. Work through every section and scroll to the bottom of the final page before closing the window; your progress will be saved.
How to open and complete a self-study session
- Select the grey box at the bottom of the screen to launch the self-study session.
- The session will open in a new window. Select Start course to begin.
- Scroll through each section. Select Continue at the bottom of each section to move on.
- Use the tracker on the left-hand side to check your progress. If you cannot see the tracker, select the three-line menu in the top-left corner.
- As you progress, the tracker will fill in and show a tick when you have completed each section.
- The final section does not have a Continue button. Scroll to the very bottom of the final page to make sure it is recorded as complete.
- When you have completed all sections, close the window. Your progress will be saved.
