Subject Requirements
You must hold GCSEs in maths and English (including Science if you are applying for Primary and Early Years Teacher training). They must be a grade C,4 or above. Functional Skills is not equivalent to meet the entry requirement for teacher training.
If you achieve your qualifications outside of the UK (including Ireland) you will need to obtain a UK ENIC Comparability Statement https://enic.org.uk/Qualifications/SOC/Default.aspx
We will accept IELTS for English, if you scored an average of 6.5 or above and each area was 6 or higher.
Level 6 Degree
You must hold a full Level 6 bachelor’s degree in any subject.
If you do not hold a degree, or only hold a Foundation Degree or Level 5, you may be able to complete a 1-year top up degree to achieve the required Level 6 degree.
