Apprenticeship funding is through the ‘apprenticeship levy’.
Many schools pay into this levy, some do not. It is all determined by who manages your payroll (does your school pay your salary or is through your local authority?)
If your school pays into the levy, then the funds in that levy can be used to cover the cost of your apprenticeship (training and assessment).
If your school does not pay into the levy, not to worry! Your school will be eligible to receive government co-investment, where the government will co-invest 95% of the training and assessment cost, and the remaining 5% +VAT paid for by your school.
It’s best to speak to your school business manager for full details and if you have any questions, then do let us know!
